OUR STORY
A Little More Light. A Lot More Christmas.
Lights of Oconee started with a simple belief: light has the power to bring people together.
For years, our family has run Lighting Pros, designing and installing professional holiday and landscape lighting for homes and businesses across Athens and the greater Oconee County area. Every season, we watched the same thing happen. A single strand of lights on a porch could stop neighbors mid-walk. A well-lit yard could turn a quiet street into a place people wanted to be. We started to wonder what would happen if we took that same craft and built something bigger, an entire experience, for the whole community to share.
That question became Lights of Oconee.
A SEASON OF HOPE
We built this experience because we believe Christmas should feel like something special. In a season that can get busy, expensive, and overwhelming, we wanted to create a place where families could slow down, walk together, and feel a little bit of wonder again.
Hope is at the center of everything we do here. Hope for families making memories together. Hope for a community that comes together instead of staying home. Hope that something as simple as taking a stroll through some amazing lights can remind us of what the season is really about.
BUILT WITH OUR NEIGHBORS
Lights of Oconee is a true community effort. We're proud to partner with Oconee County and Oconee County Parks & Recreation to bring this experience to life on land that belongs to all of us, and with Chick-fil-A on Atlanta Highway in Athens, GA, to make sure every visit feels like a full night out for the whole family.
This isn't a corporate light show that rolled into town. It's a local family business, working with local partners, for local families and everyone who wants to make the drive to see it. We are so excited to host you and your family this holiday season!
